Cutting through the Mix
Build as brother and sister guitars. Two small Parlors, one with a body joint at the 12th fret and one at the 13th fret. I want to introduce #51 here which is the 13fret version of the two. This one was a custom order and I really enjoyed making it. Mahogany for the back and sides, old spruce from 1963 for the top and a classic style 18 look make it a sweet understated mini soundbox that can produce quite some sound. These little ones always surprise because the expactation is that they are quiet but in reality it´s just a different frequency range they produce. And actually one that can cut through the room remarkably well. The high midrange from 500 Hz to 2 kHz is very strong in these little boxes and thats the frequency range that cuts strough the mix.
